Why do people act like cops are perfect?
Don't get me wrong i have no problems with cops(actually never have not even a ticket). You show me respect I give you respect. But on to the point.
Why do people act like cops are superhuman? I was visiting my mom during my college break and we were watching cops. A guy got arrested after a foot chase and a fight with the police. Then I said to my mom, "I wouldn't get caught". She made a big argument about it for some reason. I'm 6ft 210 pounds with a muscular build, flexible, faster than everyone at my school(excluding our track stars of course) and have taken multiple fighting styles(karate, taekwondo, boxing, was taught wrestling by my dad since I was little[I have been able to best him since I was 16] and had some military members teach me MMA)
I'm also smarter than ~90% of Americans(according to multiple test), knowledge of the outdoors, and can think on my feet.
I'm not saying I could out fight 10 cops but I could Definately get away from several.
What do you think could you catch me? LOL
Seriously why do people think cops are superhuman? In the end we are all just people.
I wish I could join in on a police training exercise and just say "Catch me if you can!!".
I think that'd be a great type of training for police, because if they train only against other cops they may get used to the cop way of seeing something, whereas a civilian might do something unexpected. Plus it'd be a great way to build a friendly relationship with the community.

The same reason why people think all cops are corrupt; they're poorly educated on the day to day work of the police and have never actually watched officers do their jobs on a ride along. COPS is a great show to watch for both good, strong police work and big time mistakes.

Well cops aren't just regular mugs off the street, they actually train in chasing and taking guys down no matter how "big and tough" they are. They also have batons, tazers and in some areas, guns, at their disposal. They exist to enforce the law and maintain order. Hell, I wouldn't treat them like a regular pedestrian. I doubt you'd illude them as easy as you think you could.
But you know what, prove me wrong.

Just because you are smart and know martial arts doesn't mean a cop won't catch you. They have guns, cars, and when you are running from them, IQ doesn't matter. These cops have been TRAINED to think on their feet, and they work around that area, so they know their surroundings, too.
They are just people, but they have an education on catching people. They are probably equally as big, fast, and know martial arts.
