Why is the biggest paper in Salt Lake City Utah endorsing Obama?

instead of their native Mormon Mitt Romney? Utah is the Mormon stronghold in the USA, and yet the Salt Lake Tribune says Obama is more qualified for the job. It says Romney has not been level with the public.

Update 2:

Most of your answers seem to suggest that Republicans don't read newspapers. That would not surprise me.

Same reason Obama leads in Massachusetts by a massive margin. They know Romney is completely full of it.

Not sure why I have to explain this to you, but I will. The Salt Lake Tribune is owned by a company in Colorado. The man who runs that company is a dedicated liberal. Therefore, his newspapers, and he owns a couple dozen, all endorse Obama. Really, this isn't hidden information. Took me 12 seconds to find it.

Here's a quote from a story about the owner:

"He revealed that he voted for Obama, because he thought John McCain would be too divisive -- and he believes the president is a brilliant man who could grow into an effective chief executive if given another term."

They are not the biggest paper in Salt Lake City.

It was originally founded by two Mormons who left the church it was later bought out and considerable effort has been made to change it's anti-Mormon overtones. They do have a joint operating agreement with the Deseret News so if your a paperboy for one your a paperboy for both.

A lot of Mormon households that subscribe to newspapers subscribe to the Deseret News or both papers because the Deseret News has an insert with church news on the weekends.

Try reading the article. The newspaper says there are "too many Mitts", meaning that they realize the Human Etch-a-Sketch Mittens is a lying, flip-flopping, lying little rat weasel bastard slimeball.

    It's simple really.

Anyone whose main issue is that the debt is too big will go for Obama because Romney is promising tax cuts and defense increases.
