Mobile Home Park Restrictions?
I have lived in a mobile home community for 20 years now, and have always wanted a fence for my back yard, and I'm willing to pay for it myself, but the park says "NO FENCES". We live on a corner lot, and have a large double wide. Our neighbors do not abide by the leash law, and leave their dogs run free, and in our yard. Also many of the neighbors children run in our yard as well, and we have two dogs, we tie outside for a brief time, and then let them in. We had to put a dog down due to owners that left their chihuahua run free, and it ran after our Akita, and our dog killed it. The owners got mad at us, and our police in our area told us our dog was in our yard, and not running loose. The neighbors dog was at fault. We ended up putting our dog down anyway due to there were no options left. She would not accept another owner, and we can not afford to move to another house. We did not want to see this occur again, and we can not have a fence, so now we have a mix breed that is only a medium size dog, and our English Bulldog, and the neighbors kids tease them, as well as having the neighborhood children running through our yard. By law, is there anyway we could legally put up a fence in our back yard, as long as we maintain it? What are our options?

Why not get a trespass warrant (after you kindly talk to their parents to see if that will stop the prob) All you need is their name and go to the magistrate and explain the situation they should easily give you the warrant. Then after all parties are served with the notice not to enter your yard if they do you can have them locked up! Good luck and I am glad you are so concerned with protecting your animals.

The rules of the community are no fences then that means no fences, your only option is to stop leaving the dogs tied up outside and take them out on a leash or move.
And you had a choice, you didn't need to put your dog down because it killed another dog. The dog breed has high prey drive and there was no need to kill it because you had lazy neighbor.
If the kids tease the dog then why are you leaving it outside tied up? Take it out on a leash. Simple as that.

Your options are to move. The problem with a mobile home park is it isn't your yard. It isn't your property. They are well within their rights to set rules about the look of the community, and that includes rules against fences. I live in a mobile home park as well. My dog is never outside without me because I can't trust the neighbor kids to leave him alone. A fence doesn't protect your dog from teasing by kids either, they just do it through the fence. Best of luck.

If the rules of the community are no fences then that means no fences. Why not install a chain link enclosure for your dogs with a chain link top and attach the whole thing to the back of your home?
That isn't a fence, nor is it a separate building so I don't think that would go against any rules.
