Can you paint engineered wood?
Im getting ready to buy a white bookcase made of engineered wood and im wondering if i can paint it. Does anyone know? And if so what kind of paint do i have to use. Regular paint and brush or spray paint?

You can paint any surface with the right preparation. The first thing will be to rough up the surface so the paint/ primer will adhere .
This can be done with a steel wool pad or fine grit sandpaper, than a primer which helps the paint adhere and makes for better and a more even finish.
Spray paint is okay,just needs a bit more patience to prevent drips and runs. Painting with a brush is always easier for a beginner. If you use a water based primer and paint ,you will also need to use a water based varnish. It is not advisable to mix enamels and acrylic or latex based paints.
