How was the human race made? (Without the intervention of 'God')?

I have been raised in the Bible belt all my life. I am a young aspiring thespian who has felt too much loss the past few years. I am more worried that I've lost not only friends and family, but my faith, religion, and thus resulting in the loss of "God". I consider myself to be Agnostic, for I have no good deeds that I can assume a "God" has gifted to me, but I would like to believe there is some higher power. With all of this being said, how was the human race made? Who made us? Who made the trees, the world, the entire universe? How was all of this brought into existance, if there is no "God" ?

If the universe requires a cause, why doesn't God?

If God doesn't require a cause, why does the universe?

Gods are absolutely the most absurd thing ignorant primitives ever came up with to explain anything... seriously ;)

God is completely illogical... purely because of the 'who made god?' issue.

To suggest 'he' was always there is as silly as insisting 'he' exists at all.

Do yourself a favour – or not - watch this video from an actual physicist...

A Universe From Nothing' by Lawrence Krauss

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ImvlS8PLIo

He explains quite simply how no god was needed.

You may not watch it because you may be too scared to even consider...

After all, god is imaginary ;)

Richard Dawkins: The total amount of suffering per year in the natural world is beyond all decent contemplation. During the minute that it takes me to compose this sentence, thousands of animals are being eaten alive, many others are running for their lives, whimpering with fear, others are slowly being devoured from within by rasping parasites, thousands of all species are dying of starvation, thirst, and disease. The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference.

Xians “are really against anything that discredits their religion, and evolution does exactly that.

If evolution is true, then the story of Adam & Eve didn't literally happen, and if Adam & Eve didn't happen then Eve wasn't around to commit the "original sin" which means Jesus didn't need to die on the cross, and at that point their entire religion basically falls apart.”

There is no way known an educated person can come across Cretinism and think...

    Yeah, that makes sense...

    God is imaginary… http://godisimaginary.com/

I must say, good for you!

You have the brains to understand that even though you don't believe your religion and what it teaches you about god, still, *Someone* must have created everything, even if it's not god, as you have been taught to know Him. Someone, something, somehow. You seem to get that no matter what this world didn't just always exist and that it was created with wisdom. Right? There are so many people in the world who just don't have the common sense to understand that, or to question it. So I just have to say props. Wherever this path of rediscovery takes you.... at least you have your head screwed on straight.

Don't stop asking. There are answers to your question, so don't dare stop asking it until you actually get an answer that makes real sense. Don't sell yourself short for an answer that isn't really an answer but just a description of the process of creation. Because you understand that that can't really be an answer, right?

At thirty years of age Jesus presented himself to be baptized. On that occasion God’s possess voice mentioned: “this is my Son, the loved, whom i've accredited.” And so John the Baptist, who witnessed the occasion, mentioned of Jesus: “This one is the Son of God.”—Matt. Three:17; John 1:34. “you are the Christ, the Son of the dwelling God.” (Matt. Sixteen:16) “you're the Christ, the Son of God.” (John eleven:27) take into account John 1:18, which reads: “No man has visible God at any time; the only-begotten god who is in the bosom position with the daddy is the person who has defined him.” right here Jesus is known as “the one-begotten god.” And is it now not clear that he is break away and subordinate to “the daddy,” the God with whom he enjoys a option role?

There's no "who." All that was the result of natural processes which you probably would have learned about if you went to school somewhere other than the Bible Belt. I hear the fundie parents there still threaten and harass any teacher who tries to teach modern science so most teachers are cowed into skipping the parts of the curriculum that the fundies object to.

  • You said you were raised in the Bible so you must know the story of Job. The guy had everything right and then the devil was speaking with God about how of course Job was going to love and praise God because God gave him everything. So then God told the devil he could take everything but he couldn't touch Job. Job lost his family and everything he had. Throughout that he still seeked God. He still praised him. And at the end he came out stronger than ever.

Bad things happen..it's life. Think about it like this..the devil isn't going to attack the people who are already lost..he has them. He's going for the people who are devoted to God. And i understand things super hard and it seems like the world's going to end but trust in God. He will never let you pass through something that you can't handle. If God is with us, who can stand against us? If God is for us, who can ever stop us? Be strong. Seek God first and you'll be infinitely blessed. God bless you!

Why does there need to be a god? All the different forms of life on this planet are explained by evolution from simple single celled organisms which themselves developed from various chemicals. If you want to learn the origins of humans, you should read Richard Dawkins's masterpiece "The Ancestor's Tale" which tracks human evolution backwards from modern man to the primordial swamp.

well they say from "self organization" which means certain chemicals are attracted to one another which could lead to the development of life eventually. However there is a problem. You can take the protiens needed for life and put them in a test tube but you need peptides and there are the right kinds and wrong kinds, in the test tube the protiens will bond with both, chemical attraction cannot create DNA. If I were an outsider looking in, and there was just a little slime and maybe slime eating bacteria, I could agree with the evolution theory. As it stands with the millions of different life forms with their own DNA, from insects, to arachnids, ocean dwelling creatures, land dwelling creatures, I would need a lot of faith to believe all life forms "self creted" and become what we know them to be by selective breeding and positive mutations.Something has to tell the dna to muate the "right way" before a genocidal crisis occurs millions of yrs in advance for evolution to work.It still needs an outside force, and one other than "blind luck".

"Who made the trees, the world, the entire universe"

Why is that a "who" question?

"How was all of this brought into existance, if there is no "God""

And how does "a god did it" give you any kind of useful answer?

While walking along the sea shore the sons of Bor (Odin, Vili, and Vé) found two trees, and from them they created a man and a woman.

Odin gave the man and the woman spirit and life. Vili gave them understanding and the power of movement. Vé gave them clothing and names. The man was named Ask and the woman Embla. From Ask and Embla have sprung the races of men who lived in Midgard.
