It's from a short story. And do you think it actually means something? Heres the situation:
A girl turned on her electronic fireplace. (those ones powered by gas) She sat in front of it, and then saw a spider inside. It gets hotter and hotter and the spider is struggling. Trying to escape. After a minute or so, it ran into the fire.

It means good news. A spider is the symbol of the mother who imposes a co-dependence on her children, and women who impose a sexual co-dependence on men.
