Are Domestic Violence laws too strict?
My cousin and I are both 19, today we got arrested for fighting. The fight took place inside the house, but somehow a cop saw threw our window and came up.
The thing is my cousin and I always fight at least once whenever we see each other it's something that has happened since we were little kids. Once the fight is over we move on and continue hanging out. As guys do.
This time however even though we told the police we were "just playing" we were both arrested.
I understand laws protecting abused women but they need to be revised. I'm currently in the process of getting the DV laws adjusted.
I meant how DV laws relate to brothers fighting.

it is not only nevada, it is the regulation in the U S. the regulation got here in returned in the early 80's with the aid of violence against women persons. it additionally replace the regulation that the DA will record quotes, with the aid of fact women persons might replace their recommendations and finally end up overwhelmed or lifeless upon getting them out. the regulation states if the law enforcement officers are call, their would be an arrest and it is the guy who did no longer stated as ninety 8% of the time. that's a sturdy regulation and violence against women persons has long gone down and adult men being prosecuted has long gone way up.

No, the laws should not be revised unless you mean they should be tougher.
Some stats:
-Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women—more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.
-Studies suggest that up to 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence annually.
-Nearly 1 in 5 teenage girls who have been in a relationship said a boyfriend threatened violence or self-harm if presented with a breakup.
-Everyday in the US, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends.

Yes they certainly are. Any law designed to protect people from themselves will almost always end up hurting innocent people.
