If man evolved from apes, why don't apes evolve into man?

How come none of the apes on Earth right now will ever evolve into man? Even if circumstances provide a million billion years.................................................................................................

Humans and apes evolved from the same common ancestor. Apes are still evolving, and if their environment started to favor more "human" traits, they would become more "human." In fact, it's possible they are doing so.

How can you claim to know what will happen to any species in a million billion years? You can't, in point of fact. I would note for you, though, that Chimps may very well adapt themselves over the next hundred thousand or so years to develop traits we would, today, describe as more human.

Because evolution does not take the same path twice. The circumstances will always be slightly different, and so the outcome will be different. If the conditions were right (which would involve humans becoming extinct) then apes might just evolve into something very similar to humans again, but not quite the same.

Homos Erectus was the first ape like creature that the remains of have been found, From the remains of the skull and the skeleton, they have been able to make a Lifelike figure. The figure shows an ape like face with a bulbous nose and large eyes , and a human body half coverd in hair. It was able to walk upright, and run. This skeleton and skull were carbon dated as being 55,000 year old, and there were pittings in the skull which are the early signs of TB and this is caused by a lack of Vitamen D. The jaw showed teeth with 2 protruding teeth very similar to teeth of a baboon. There was also recent film shown of monkeys who can walk upright for about 30 yards at a wobbly pace.

The person from apes was an historical thought based on bodily similarities earlier than genes started to be analyzed. Present belief is that we branched off earlier from the equal primate, a creature that appeared like a sloth. As for mens behavior they are a mixture of social and behaviors hard wired within the mind. Socially the Womens Lib movement resulted in females being less good behaved. Guys now not had to behaved civilized and mannered to attract a feminine. Actually the females have chosen the rebellious low type behavior to chase after.

The apes that we evolved from were different then the apes that exist today. The apes today may evolve into something similar to humans in millions of years. But not humans.

Evolution is just a theory. For gullible people who specifically want to beleive it, it's convenient for them. I do beleive that variations occur within a specie, for example black people are black because they adapted to the African sun, it's very harsh and black skin is much more resistant to sunlight, whereas white skinned people adapted to the sun in Europe as an example. Black people currently in Europe probably will have white ancestors a few hundred years from now (if they keep marrying black people like themselves and making babies with blacks) and the whites in Africa, same thing. But one specie can not evolve into another, a starfish turning into a baboon and that into a man? You've got to be kidding me. Look at the world around you, your cat, or dog; or your neighbours cat or dog, the animals and the flora, look up into the night sky; imagine the earth drifting in space, orbiting so perfectly. We are like ants in this world, in this universe; as they do their thing down there we do our thing; and we don't really see. What theories do ants generate about their worlds? What would it be like to leave the atmosphere in a Space shuttle, and to see the Earth just drifitng there, silently; with all the lives, and all the people doing their thing, a part of it dark, a part of it iluminated by the sun. With good and bad people, wars going on and charity. We're all in this together. It's all a show, God says; hey, look what I can do. There are other influences, free will of man; that's where sorrow comes from, and more; but I won't go here now.

How come a leaf on a tree can't start growing on a different branch from the one it's attached to? Same reason. The two species branched off a few million years ago and have been evolving in different directions due to living in different environments.

We humans are listed as 'great apes'. You didn't know?

And, yes, you just can't be sure what might happen in a few million billion years can you?

    Dear Luke

Because man never evolved from apes. You have exposed the foolishness related to evolutionary theory just by using your common sense! Ah, my friend, it is good to see that there are people who can actually think.

    All the best.

They are probably on their way to becoming something else. Our branch of the tree became human. It would be unlikely for that to happen twice. The environment and conditions are quite different now.
