Evidently, the Earth wasn't created, humans weren't created, and prayers aren't answered. In short, god apparently does nothing. This is based partly on "science" and partly on simple observation.

Many of us are materialists. In other words if there is no physical evidence of something it cannot exist rather than in the mind. Some might claim to be just plain rational. Also i hear of a lot of religious people reading the bible and as a result becoming atheist.
By the way, saying God is real because the bible says so is a fallacy of begging the question. Have you seen the south park episode making fun of this? I believe the flying spaghetti monster exists because the book of the flying spaghetti monster says so.

The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world!
Academia states that in the absence of any sort of evidence of the existence of something it must be deemed not to exist until verifiable evidence is found - thus god is held not to exist pending some sort of verifiable evidence.
The bible is what is called "Faction" A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not!
There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!
There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!
He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record?
Even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!
Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!
At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed!
The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god! He took the Jewish religion, organized it into Christianity and then into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!! Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely ITALIAN!
Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! How did the apostles write their books more than a hundred years after they would have been dead?
The first person to provide a shred of verifiable evidence for God will become world famous and mega rich! Ain't happened yet and it never will!
So how does this primitive belief in a god survive? The answer is simple and very down to Earth
Acceptance of a supernatural claim tends to promote cooperative social relationships. This communication demonstrates a willingness to accept, without skepticism, the influence of the speaker in a way similar to a child's acceptance of the influence of a parent. By encouraging this kind of behavior where the most intense social relationships occur it facilitates the lack of skepticism and deters more open minded thinking.
They are christian, Muslim or the other religions depending where they were born simply because they were indoctrinated by their parents as very young children. They will go on to indoctrinate their own children and those will go on to indoctrinate their grandchildren!
Atheists have the intellect to see through the conditioning and escape into the real world!
Agnostics have the intellect to see through the conditioning but lack the courage to throw of the conditioning entirely.
Sadly Christians, muslims and others are still held firmly prisoner by the self perpetuating brainwashing!

If a belief in some God helps you to feel like your life is more meaningful or fulfilling or brings you a sense of peace, or helps you to cope with the idea of mortality then I am genuinely happy for you. For myself however since there is no empirical evidence supporting the assertion that any God exists, I am not convinced to accept that claim as true, so I have remained an atheist all my life.

I am an atheist i believe in science. I do not believe in God because i think the following way.
1.)I think that the Universe/Earth was created with big explosion because i believe that the big explosion could have caused chemical reaction which led to creation of planets and stars. Scientists have proven that chemical reaction can create some thing like when sodium reacts with chlorine salt is created etc. So i believe
that God did not created universe.
2.)I believe that life forms started on this Earth according to scientific way (i mean singled celled creatures first which evolved into multiple-celled organisms). Scientist have proven this that life form can be created by some chemical reaction like cloning etc. So i believe that God did not created life forms on Earth.
3.)I believe in theory of ape to man evolution because it has good evidence. Early man did not got answer to many question of nature. He must have had many problems like floods, droughts etc and that is why the Early man could have created God as a hope that he would solve our problems. I think that Early man could have thought that who has created me(i mean the early man) and from that God came to existence on Earth
This is how i think and that is why i do not believe in God. I believe more in science and logical reasoning because they have satisfying and reasonable answers and that has been proved.

Well, let's see. Carbon dating, Fossils, DNA/genes, Big Bang, Evolution, Difference in years, etc. Vs. A book filled with no evidence and lies.. See, I choose to pick actual fact that we can see, taste, hear, smell and so on, rather than something we can just read and put 'faith' into. Do you honestly believe that an invisible, supreme being created all of mankind? Do you honestly believe we were created? Lol. Christians tend to stray away from the hard proof and physical evidence we call science. They still have something in their heads that they have had since childhood that enables them to believe in fairy tales. And I bet 75% of Christians who read the bible either see the contradictions and lies and still believe in it, or they keep telling themselves that no matter how insane the belief, it's true. Atheist are free thinkers and we are not brainwashed by imaginary bull

Take a step back and look at history.....which tends to repeat itself.....how many different religions have come and gone.....how many similarities are there between them? One thing I found particularly interesting was the virgin birth of Wong De the first chinese empereor and "living god" obviously very similar to Jesus. Then there is ancient sumer who has a Noahs ark tale almost word for word of that in the bible only its written in cuneiform on a clay tablet 2000 years removed from Christ. Whats more interesting still about sumer is there astrological knowledge. They were able to plot out our entire solar system accurately going as far as to describe the rings around saturn, the distances between the planets......they even referenced pluto which modern astrologers didnt discover until the 1930's. They were the first to break the heavens into 12 parts, creating 12 months of the year things still used today so we know they were very intelligent buuuut as soon as they start talking about there gods being humanoid beings from a 10th planet in our solar system that gave them the knowledge they had, and we dont believe them???? How is it that a civilization right out of the stone age was able to know that the sun is the center of our solar system that the earth is round when other civilizations didnt know this until the last few centuries......seems to much to push aside as myths and legends.
Mathmatics and physics tell us that the odds of us being alone in the universe or that we are the most advanced beings in the universe are pretty much zero. The universe is roughly 14.3 billion years old, earth formerly Tiamot is about 4 billion years old. The milky way galaxy takes up less then .1% of the universe. So if you really want to add it all up thats 10billion years of evolution(more then twice the age of earth) accross the other 99.9% of the universe......Im no mathematician but I would say thats a very solid basis for the conclusion that we are not alone in the universe as well as earth and all life on earth were not created by god in 7 days. Im not trying to convert anyone as Im fully aware it would take more then an internet rant to achieve that. I just want some of you to understand the logic behind a lot of educated or informed atheists. If you look at the grand scope of things you'll see that religion has always come and gone and will continue as such, its our answer for the unkown.(History tends to repeat itself) Christianity is to me as far fetched as zues and posiedon, what is so different about christ that people are still so captivated by his teachings? Dont tell me that the bible is proof....its not.....man wrote about christ as man wrote about zues and every other religion.....I believe christianity to be an over lived fad, nothing more. At some point someone will disprove the "god theory" or simply come up with something else to captivate the mindless masses.
I'll be the first to say we are a long ways away from proving or disproving 'god' As an athiest i look at SUPPORTING evidence in coming to the conclusion there is no 'god' Just as a lawyer would use various pieces of supporting evidence to help the jury come to a conclusion based on proven facts that support a claim or theory. Religion in my opinion is something passed down from parents to children etc....chances are a child is going to share the views and beliefs of their parents. Its blind faith, I've never seen anything to support the hypothesis that there is a 'god' of any kind. Where did the effing dinosaurs come from? If 'god' flooded the earth and killed everyone save for noah and a few others, how do you explain the pyramids? They are pre-christ yet show no signs of EVER being submerged in water. So, that means that noah and few of his home boys did it by themselves in just a few months.....keep in mind, the pyramids are something we to this day could not recreate.

"How can organised life come and not utilising a reason it somewhat is Alive, sensible, knowledgeable, and basically by using an explosion time-honored as vast Bang...?" life did no longer upward thrust up by using the vast Bang. The Universe did. you're able to do a splash learn on the priority in the past making incorrect claims some concern you don't be attentive to something approximately. The origins of life are defined in abiogenesis, which became into no longer some magic explosion yet a mild technique. look it up in the past claiming that is impossible. "we are able to all realize, as quickly as we are in actual hassle, who our hearts call to..does an Atheist call out "O pretend technology, help Me"... the place is this perception coming from today ? at that component, a Christian does no longer call Jesus, a hindu does no longer call an idol, a secularist does no longer call democracy...all of us call upon God" No, we don't. i'm an atheist, and that i do no longer call upon god. no count if god exists or no longer, he's not in any respect helped me or everybody i've got ever time-honored, so calling him for help is pointless. in case you somewhat need help, then ask yet another human for help. If no person can assist you, you're on your guy or woman. it is not a delightful thought, yet i might quite stay in an uncomfortable fact than a comforting lie. "The question after this, to those uncertain of God's existance....2:28. how are you able to disbelieve in God ? because you have been lifeless and He gave you life......" How am i able to disbelieve in Zeus? since i became into lifeless and he gave me life. Your question is pointless, because of the fact it somewhat is a loaded question. edit: Yeah, you could thumb this down on the grounds which you do unlike people who disagree which includes your attitude, yet you could on no account silence the nonbelievers. Censorship and spiritual intolerance won't in any respect proceed to exist against freedom and reason.

lack of any tangible evidence.saying theres a god is like saying theres unicorns.theres no physical evidence.they only exist in stories.a dude lived in a whale for 3 days in the bible.and christians say its true.thats on the same level as jack and the beans stock.its all absurd.and this next part is me ranting.next time a u know someone who is deathly ill and gets better, dont thank god.thank modern medicine and science.people all start praising god when some 5 year old when cancer lives through his treatment, but ohh no if one of them dies no one brings up god anymore.

Well it's not really a matter of what we believe as it is to what we don't believe (sounds minor but the way one words things have a subtle importance). The only reason I don't believe is because I have no legitimate reason to believe in the Abrahamic god any more than I have a reason to believe in any other deity/deities, force, or supernatural entity.
