Playing Clue for Halloween?

I'm going to have a Halloween party at my house and I'm planing to play a live Clue game with my guests. I was thinking of playing it by the Clue rules, just without the board and without the room cards (since I'm going to set a murder scene in one room and everyone will know where the murder occured). There is going to be 13 people on the party and that would make 13 suspects cards and 9 weapon cards. Can I play the game like this? Is this going to work out?

    Sounds like an excellent party!

I would keep it simple so, as you know what room the murder is in, no need to shake dice and move between rooms. You could either just allow each player to voice their suspicions in turn or maybe have some means of choosing who asks next at random (like picking coloured counters from a hat, each corresponding to one player).

You need to think about movement. How far can someone travel on their turn? Perhaps just say they can only go to an adjacent room.

Another problem is that players need to be two places at the same time: in the room where they really are, but also close to the current player so that they can see what's going on. Unless everyone is in constant contact over a cell phone or they scream around the house, that could be problematic.

Also: get a clipboard for every player so that they can take notes. Maybe also provide a wallet to hold their cards while they are writing.

    Have fun!
