Can someone give me examples of how the Mona Lisa is different from earlier renaissance art?

I need specific answers including techniques used and stuff like that. I've been able to find plenty on why it is LIKE renaissance art but not how it is different.

    It is portrait en face. Older renaissance portraits were profiles because they developed from pictures of authorities on coins. Example: Portraits of Federico da Montefeltro and His Wife Battista Sforza, painter Piero della Francesca. Also landscape on the background appears real. It appears first on the paintings of Andrea Mantegna. Possibly flemish inspiration. The landscape is not already a symbol of Universe (Piero della Francesca) but has another aim: to express atmosphere. Compare with The Tempest from Giorgione...
