Why wouldn't Trump donate that money to charity on his own? Why wouldn't he request the same of Romney? Why wouldn't he ask for something relevant to the election, instead of transcripts from 30 years ago? Like, say, Romney's tax returns? You clearly don't know Trump if you think anything will shut him up.
