Is the ipod touch 5g worth buying?
I've been considering buying a touch, I never really saw a reason for it until I saw my dad's 4g. It seems very convenient, it seems like a portable computer. My question is, is it worth all that money if the 6g is supposedly coming out in a year anyway? Also, is there a huge difference besides size and pixels between the 4g and 5g? I don't really want to spend all that money on something that will be "obsolete" in such a short amount of time

they release a new generation every year, so by your thinking, the newest ipod will always be obsolete in a short amount of time. If you want a reliable music player that you can play games on, use as a decent camera and listen to music on, you should get it. But if you are just looking for something to play music, there are many alternatives with lower prices.

Yes it is because it runs on the A5 chip which is faster than the 4g chip and is the same chip used the iphone 4s. Plus the 5g is a little bigger than the 4g and shoots in 1080p and the 4g shoots in 720p and the 5g's touch screen responds much better than the 4g but over all these things are only minor changes if you can afford I would recommend it if not just get the 4g. NOTE: only if you want a mini computer or a device to take with you where you go and is light and portable for music, video, games, maps, and many more apps. Oh and to answer your question about the "obsolete" thing apple makes a new device every year that make the other look out of date when the only thing different is a small change in size speed and display nothing to important. Capability 5g: 55MP iSight camera, 1080p HD video recording, Siri, AirPlay Mirroring, apps, games, music, widescreen video, iMessage, FaceTime, Game Center, email, Safari web browser, Facebook and Twitter integration, Passbook, Mapsg
Capability 4g: 720p HD video recording, apps, games, music, video, iMessage, FaceTime, Game Center, email, Safari web browser, Facebook and Twitter integration, Passbook, Maps

An iPod touch is purely an iPhone without the telephone, or a small iPad. extremely, this is a fancy mp3 participant. in case you have a cellular telephone, an mp3 participant is exceptionally pointless. in case you do not have a smart telephone and haven't any want for one, yet choose an mp3 participant with cyber web, apps, video games, etc... then get the iPod touch. in case you purely choose a solid mp3 participant without each and all of the bells and whistles (and massive cost ticket), the recent iPod Nano seems astonishing!

Yes i think it is a major update from the 2 year old 4th generation and they might not release a new one next year so might as well buy one now. But it is $300 , so think wisely. if you can afford an iPhone then i would get that.
They re designed the whole thing and is really fast.
