How does Dishonored’s chaos system actually work? Are there only two options low and high chaos for the levels? Are there only two different endings? Do special actions affect the game? I played the game the first time throw guns blazing and sword swinging and I’m trying the sneak approach now to get a low chaos rank. Does helping Granny Rag posing that gang’s distillery raise chaos?

There are two chaos levels, high and low. High is for killing a large number of people in each mission, while low is for killing few to no people at all. Special actions can effect your chaos rating as well as later portions of the game (poisoning the distillery for example is high chaos since you are killing a lot of people with that action, and you create more weepers for when you return to that area in the next mission).

Oddly there is actually 3, The good, for being stealthy the entire length of the game, and the bad for being a killer through the whole game and a neutral for doing both.
