q1
f for females, t for total
f = 0.6 t
f+100 = 0.65t
100 = 0.05t
t = 2000
-----------
q2
150*50 = 7500 man-days needed
phase1: 60*20 = 1200 man-days
2nd phase: 80*60 = 4800 man-days
work remaining = 7500 - (1200+4800) = 1500 man-days
men remaining = 30
days needed = 1500/30
= 50 more days or 130 days total

1. 100 + 2T/5 = 65T/100 Giving T = 400 whence F = 160 and M = 240 ANSWER
2. W = 150*50 mandays = 7500 mandays
Done = 60*20 + 80*60 manday = 6000 mandays
Now 1500 mandays needed by 30 men so 50 days more required ANSWER

1.
m/f = 2/3
m/(f+100) = 65/100
Therefore:
2f = 3m
f = 3m/2
f = 1.5m
65(f + 100) = 100m
65(1.5m + 100) = 100m
97.5m + 6500 = 100m
100m - 97.5m = 6500
2.5m = 6500
m = 6500 / 2.5
m = 2600
f = 1.5*2600
f = 3900

hmmmh.. no longer positive my calculation ..enable me attempt 1st.. (sq. root of) 5 - (sq. root of) 3 ------------------------------... 2 utilising calculator, (5) ½ = 2.23 and (3) ½ =a million.seventy 3 so, (5) ½ - (3) ½ = (2.23 - a million.seventy 3) ÷ 2 = 0.5 ÷ 2 = 0.25 (i wager!)
