What if all of the garbage in America were dumped into an isolated place and we built a garbage mountain?

Instead of having tons of landfills all over the place, why not just pick one spot in America where we could collect all of the garbage and then build a big garbage, refuse mountain. It'd be a good idea if we picked a mountain range in the Rockies and just dumped the garbage in a mountain valley and filled it up with garbage until the valley gets filled with enough garbage that it is as high as the Rocky Mountains that surround the valley. This could free up all of the landfill lands in America for other uses, such as building new parks.

brilliant idea, I couldn't imagine what the collection and disposal cost would be to have your garbage picked up weekly and shipped across the nation to a national disposal point.
