How did this happen in the US, why didn't someone, some where put a stop to it?

I didn't understand why it stood then but it made a Democrat out of me. I want NOthing to do with a political party that tampers with the voting machines or calls out the National Guard to stop the folks from counting votes!!! I was soo ashamed. We are just a baby-step away from totally losing the democracy our forefathers fought so hard to preserve.

We know about Romney's purchase of the Hart Intercivic electronic voting machines in Ohio ahead of the election this time ... I've contacted a dozen people who I believe has the authority to handle the situation. Why should we presume that Ohio is the only State with these contaminated voting machines?

John Kerry would have been such a great President. Al Gore too! Instead we got a COLLAPSED ECONOMY and TWO WARS. Yet MILLIONS of people, believe or not, think that same group can be trust to do things right just 4 yrs later??? There is an article appearing in a lot of outlets today, the headline of which is "If the polls are right, Romney could win the popular vote and lose the election". This is what happened in 2002, and before that in 1960. It happens in this country because of our electoral system.
