Is the DLC license connected to my gamertag or console?
I have a Xbox 360 with 250gb removable harddrive. My Xbox has been packed away because I have been looking for a new apartment for several months. In the meantime, I have been using my friend's Xbox 360. Since my gamertag is on my harddrive, I download some DLC's onto MY harddrive, using MY gamertag but on his console. Soon, I will be able to use my Xbox. Since I'll be inserting my harddrive into my Xbox, do I need to do a license transfer or am I okay with my DLC's?

Both. If you did not move your licenses to your friend's console, the licenses for the DLC is available to your account on someone else's 360 when it's signed into Live to prove that you own it. All profiles on your 360 can use the DLC and it doesn't have to be signed into Live. There's no need to do a license transfer to your same 360 unless you moved them to your friend's or if you have bought content while your account was on his, you should do a transfer to move everything to your own 360.

Im just going to say this. The DLC content for whatever game is downloaded onto your harddrive.
