The media makes women believe they should be/need to be thin. Agree or Disagree with this statement?

Disagree

1) Rude comments/jokes people make on fat people.

2) Clothing- some people feel some things only look good on thin people(ex.cute lowcuts, bikinis.etc)

3) you want to be healthy for your own self not the media , you want to eat healthy and exercise and not have to worry about future health problems.

4) Some girls even want to be thin just for their boyfriend (stupidest reason of them all)

Women think it's the media but it's really not.. Media just gives examples of the reasons above ^^.

ex. You see woman in bikini on tv looking thin and gorgeous-people say only media does this ( but you also see it in reality, media just publicizes it worldwide) . It's annoying how people blame everything on the media actually .. its like this in the real world too you know

Well, it's usually people who look the best that are choen for lead roles in many kinds of media. News Anchor, show hostess and things like that.

Either that or the person who gets offered the job is sufficiently charismatic to overcome it to the audience.

So, well I agree. Not all media, but certainly popularized media. I have been a hostess for a modeling show myself, I don't think that's a role that gets offered to anyone much bigger than myself.

I think the media most definently pressures people to change anything and everything about themselves ''your to short, your to tall, your to big, your to thin, your eyes arent the right color" and so on and so forth. So in a simple answer: yes, yes i do

Yes, but I think most women try to be fit. Being physically fit is the most attractive regardless of your size.
