We didn't care about GM, the bailout was to save all of those middle class jobs. Saving GM was the only way to do it. Not that it matters. Had he let GM fail you would be saying he cost America all of those same jobs. You should decide where you stand on an issue and have the guts to say you were wrong instead of rehashing the same old stuff we are not children anymore. This is the real world you are screwing up. Not someone's sandcastle that you can stomp on then run home to mommy. You are the force that is dividing our great country with questions like this. Who do you actually think will change their mind and side with such irrationality.

As for taxing the rich... The rich can go elsewhere with their money if they wanted. This country has been very good to the rich. No one is asking them to pay more than the rest of us pay. Even though they benefit the most from what our country gives them. You tell me, why should they pay less when they benefit the most. They pay the same amount for sales tax as you and I. Should we let them pay half.

We are so fortunate that our forefathers had the insight to write a constitution to protect us from people who would impose their will upon the majority who elected our president. To commit the actions you are committing smacks of treason. This is America, we can't be defeated from without so people like you come along and try to divide us from within.

I pray that God continues to bless our great country in spite of the devil that dwells in our land.

I think giving personal tax cuts is a direct way of permitting greater wealth division. Bailing out GM was a way to support industry. Unfortunately, like bailing out banks, economics always wins over, and bailouts are risky short term solutions that rarely result in long term benefits. The huge social destruction and destruction to democracy that wealth division causes should be prevented, but markets need to be structured to ensure that companies are still competitive, efficient and effective.

(PS it is wealth division, not socialism, that is the prime cause of the problems in the Mediterranean at the moment).

Hussein's support of the bail out for GM, instead of a normal restructuring

under a structured bankruptcy, was secretly intended to secure the union vote

It's obvious that under a restructured bankruptcy the company would have been

also saved but the unions would have also suffered a "hair-cut" like all other

    parties involved.

This was the closet-socialist maggot at his best.
