Vacuuming in Dorm Room?
How early is it socially acceptable to vacuum in a dorm room. I do realize that the acceptable vacuuming time-frame will be different on the weekends from that of the weekdays. Now I like to get my cleaning done before class on the weekdays and before work on the weekends. So, I was wondering if it is acceptable to vacuum as early as 8a on weekdays and 10a on weekends? Our residence halls have "quiet hours" from 10p to 8a on "school nights" (nights before days that the school allows class the next day on) and from 12a to 10a on "other nights." In other words, quiet hours end at 8a Mon-Fri and at 10a Sat and Sun.
So, what I'm curious about is whether it is acceptable to vacuum as early as 8a Mon-Fri and 10a Sat and Sun, or if there's an unwritten social convention that prohibits vacuuming until a different time. thank you. :)

I would not vacuum in a dorm setting or apartment building before 10 a m at least and I'd probably do it in the evening.
It's nice that you are considering others.

Any time after the established quiet time is acceptable and those hours sound very reasonable.
