Doom 3 BFG Edition Splitscreen Co-Op?

I just picked up Doom 3 BFG edition for the sole reason it is supposed to have a split screen co-op. I can't find any such setting anywhere. Does it have to be "unlocked" or some nonsense like that?

It's on the XBox 360

I am using an HDMI cable instead of whatever the ordinary one is called

    i was wondering the same thing. i hate it when they don't let people play co-op. there's not too many games that do.
