Linear Function help plz?

The world record time in the 100 meter butterfly swimming was 50.40 seconds in 2006. Assume that the record falls at a constant rate of 0.05 second per year. What does the model predict for the record in 2020?

I'm having a hard time understanding and setting this up. So some help please?

Update:

But it says that the record falls by. 05 every year so wouldn't the answer be less seconds?

    f(x) = .05x+50.40

50.40 =is the time you start with, so you add that

.05 =this is the rate of seconds per year

x= this is the number of years

from 2006 to 2020, the year difference is 14 years. Plug 14 in for x and solve : .05(14)+50.40

    = 51.1 seconds
