To each and every person affected by the storms?

I and my fellow Aussie Yahooers are thinking of you and hope that you suffer as little damage as possible. We are watching in real time and can see how the storm is affecting your towns and cities.

Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones and we hope there is no further loss of life.

God Bless and keep you all.

Update:

I am sorry if you consider my message a violation. It was the best means possible I could find to get our message across half a world immediately to the people undergoing such a terrible ordeal.

Update 2:

@ Old School. What an utter pleasure you must be to have around! You are obviously not one of the approx 80 million people who are/will be affected by the storm.

I will delete this tomorrow, but I shall leave it overnight so that at least some your fellow countrymen can see how some of their own react to foreigners wishing them well.

Personally I am an atheist but having spent a few years in the US I know that religion plays an important part in the lives of many.

Leave the questionup. If Yahoo! wants to take it down, let them. The first answer was right, technically no question was asked. You could throw another edit in to say "Have you been affected?" or something like that.

I am a New Yorker, from the city, who suffered little damage but witnessed much mor severe events. I appreciate your good intentions and the spirit in which it was written. SOme people, like Old School, can never do anything but criticize. I have never seen him answer a question with anything but remarks like"This is not a travel question." I do not know why people cannot accept a comment as it was intended.

And I also understand how an atheist can say "God bless."

    Thank you for the support.

I have relatives in the US and I pray for their safety too. We believe in God and we trust Him in every respect.

I dont find this message a violation at all. I have had that problem too when I think what have I said to upset others? I just explain that I had no intention to hurt or upset anyone else. And then I dont hear anything else that probably means Im let off.

Thank you and the other Aussie for your kind thoughts. My parents live in New York and evacuated to my brother's home in Boston, where I also live. They are very worried about their home and friends who did not evacuate, but so far all seems well

Once again I thank you. Don't take too much notice of the negative replies. We are not all like that.
