Indeed yes we have had an eventful history, a culture that is distinctive, a language of our own that not enough of us speak fluently, and dozens of accents to choose between. Come and visit us for a holiday sometime, and you will meet us everywhere. A tourist visa covers 90 days, and you could see most of what we are all about in that time.

Nora Roberts writes FICTION which may or may not reflect the actual environment that the story is set in.

Your soul may be moved, but you have put your question in the Genealogy category and for all those who have actually researched they ancestry I will answer both of your questions with one word YES - Genealogy has way of doing that for people who actually do the work. You might get a better response if you put you r question in the Polls & Surveys Category.

There are probably many Irish here on Yahoo, but most likely you will find them in the travel section.

Here in genealogy we research our ancestors, including the Irish ones.

Genealogy is about researching your ancestry, so what has your question got to do with that?

You read a book and now you are 'in love with Ireland'...so save your money and come over a visit.........

Irishmen are hard to come by, especially those who were born in america, that stay true to their heritage. However Irishmen are very proud of their people.
