What's wrong with my eye?

For the past few days (approx. 3-4), my right eye has been feeling like it's bruised. Every time I blink, it feels like the lower part is bruised even though nothing wrong is visible. When I checked the inner part of my lower eyelid, it was very red compared to the one on the left.

Now the bruising feeling is slowly going away. I noticed today that every time I blink, I don't feel like it's bruised unless I shut my eyes really tight. So I think it's slowly going away, but I was just wondering.

What was it? Was it an infection? It seems like it's going away but should I go see a doctor?

Thanks!

Update:

I'm not allergic to anything. ^^

If you want to find out what is causing it, see a doctor. You are not allergic to anything.

That happens to me every so often. It could be from stress itself or stressing your eye locking it in a certain direction. I know exactly how it feels. I think allergies could be the culprit.
