I want to start a Information Technology Consulting NYC business on my own. Any comments or advice?

I would like to start an Information Technology Consulting NYC business and be like a contractor. I want to help businesses store, file, archive and maintain information in the most organized and cost-efficent ways. I know this will take a little research but I have the knack for organizing information along with the patience and determination it takes to scrutinze detals and create a uniform system to keep them. I would like to completely reorganize and refile all the information a company needs to keep. I would like to help them decide what are the most important bits of information to keep, how to keep them (hardcopy, electronic or combination of both). I would like to offer to organize it all myself (document by document if need be) or be able to recommend software or methods for the safest, most cost efficient ways. I would potentially offer to scan all important documents so that the hardcopies can be destroyed, therefore freeing up space in office. But I know I'm not the first person to think of this....any advice?

If you want then you can take professional help from Information Technology Consulting Companies like M-Square Systems and so on. Such companies can provide you with information and advice on various IT related Business Topics like Technology Consulting, IT Security, Business Intelligence and so on. Apart from you there are various other persons to think on this issue but it's good that you have also made a move in this direction for the betterment of your career and future.

There are literally hundreds of 'top' IT consulting firms. Do you have the necessary qualifications to compete with those hundreds of others? I'll show you the qualifications of one that I've read about....

"I am interested in seeking a Management Consulting, Accounting, Finance, Audit, or Analyst Position. I have Strategy Management Consulting, Business Transformation, and Strategic Planning experience. I am able to travel and relocate around the world. I have 10 years of Controller Accounting, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, Financial Planning & Analysis, Process/Project Management, Internal Audit & Controls, Financial Audit, Business Process, Risk Management, IT, Financial Statements, Consolidations, IT, P & L, Business Plan, Quality Assurance, Process Design and Reengineering, Strategy, Operations, Policies and Procedures, Business and Financial Analysis experience for multiple small, medium, and large Public and Private Companies, including an Investment Bank, Bank, Retail, Hedge Fund, Consumer Products, Public Accounting Firm, Securities and Mutual Fund Company, Stock Brokerage, and Law Firm. I have an International MBA, 80% completion of the CPA Coursework, and a Microsoft, IT, MCP Certification."

You would be starting out on ground level in a field where there's people that are almost too qualified so your background and experience is tantamount to success in this business.

If you have to ask this on Y!A, then it's probably not a good idea to start a business on your own.
