It's an herb that helps to increase circulation to the brain. Because of that, it's most commonly used for memory, brain health, clearer thinking, etc. I've been taking it regularly for a few years and my memory has improved drastically to the point where I can tell if I've missed it for even a week (if I run out, for example). Good luck and I hope I helped!

Mostly used to improve memory; also to treat or help prevent Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia; to decrease intermittent claudication (leg pain caused by narrowing arteries); and to treat sexual dysfunction, multiple sclerosis, tinnitus.
However despite numerous scientific studies it hasn't been substantiated to be effective for any condition beyond placebo effect.

Be skeptical of personal anecdotes or testimonials. With a sample size of 1, and no control group they are virtually useless. But that's all the sellers of Ginkgo have to offer.
