Well, Obama has a responsibility to meet with his constituents across the country. He needs to reach out to those voters that are undecided and bring his message directly to them. Besides he can capitalize on his handling of the Sandy disaster to show off his leadership abilities.
I wouldn't be so sure that he is going to lose next week. I think Romney is worried.

i have no idea when Obama will resume the campaign, his surrogates, Clinton and Biden both can do a good job for him.
