Why do liberals love to make jokes on politicians that believe in family values?

Because they don't have any values?

Because "family values" is a code word for a certain agenda which does not uphold the rights of individuals. The U>S> Costitution did not say anything about families, only individuals.

There are neurotics enough on both sides of the spectrum.

And republicans believe only in their own set of Family values. They do not allow for others to establish family values. Hence they are blind to the sufferings of other poorer people. And so try to impose religion as a form of control upon them.

Everybody has values. Most sensible people understand that.

Conservatives like to think they are the only ones with values. And, they go so far as to call them "family values," which, clearly, they are not.

So, when Conservatives broaden their horizons and understand that non-Conservatives have values that are just as valid, we will all be happier.

Liberals respect those with family values that they choose to live their own lives by. Where liberals have a problem with these people is when they attempt to impose their morals on the rest of us.

Because they don't really believe in family values. They just say they do so people vote for them. So many cases where family values politicians have homosexual mistresses. Look at Newt Gengrich, family values politican dumped his cancer-laden wife for a mistress he had been cheating with her on.
