Is it bad to get someone's cell number from another person?
I want to get this girl's phone number but I have yet to see her this semester. We were in the same class last semester. I see a mutual friend of ours a few times a week though. Is it okay for me to ask the mutual friend for the girl's phone number. I know some people are uncomfortable about giving out other people's numbers. If it's not a good idea, any ideas on how I can contact her?
BTW I had the girl's phone number last semester but she has different number now. I tried calling and got some random person.

I think you should txt the mutal friend of the girl and say that '' Hi, im just updating my contacts and I just noticed that the number of ...(girls name)... is old, do you have her new number?''

That should be fine, just be sure to ask her if it's cool that you got her number elsewhere.
