I am looking to relocate from London to a East Sussex location, would you recommend Seaford?
Can you tell me your opinion of the towns suitability for a middle aged couple. What are the people like. Is it friendly, is it cosmopolitan, is its location good for access to other nice places. Would you choose another area. Is it good living on the seafront?

Seaford is a small town with a lot in it! Morrison's, Tesco, co-op, every bank, some nice pubs and some groggy ones! Its 30 mins away from Brighton and 20 mins away from Eastbourne so it's not a bad location to be honest. The seafront is great and the seven sisters cliffs are just round the corner if you like sightseeing. Im from Birmingham and lived in seaford for 10 years now so my advice to you is this... If your looking for a quiet town with not much going on then seaford is for you. If you want a well bulit up town then somewhere else would be better. Also with a local nightclub the weekends can be a bit loud in town!

Being a Brightoner, I go to Seaford a lot.
Seaford- Seaford is a really lovely small town with a real community feel. It has an amazing beach that is always very quiet and peaceful, with no rubbish floating around or drunks.
It has a wide variety of shops, and is very quiet.
If you're looking at places near Seaford, here you go:
Brighton- Brighton is a very vibrant city, that has a lot of youth and is very unexpected. The shops are amazing, and there are also always a lot of foreign students who are everywhere! Brighton is definitely NOT quiet, with an amazing pier. The beach is always packed sometimes quiet littered, but it's improving.
Lewes- Lewes is the most amazing little village that is located near a lot of wildlife (hills and forests) the houses are really small, as it's a small place. There are sort of OK shops, with supermarkets and stuff. Most pubs there are lovely. You are also near the beach, Drusillas zoo, Cuckmere Haven and Seven Sisters.
Hove- Hove is quite similar to Brighton except it's mostly filled with elderly couples. It's nice but a bit manky..
