Would things be different?

Were the government to said too parents" We hold you responsible" for your teens actions. Parents will support their teen's baby financially, no more government funding.

    I don't think it is a bad idea, what you are suggesting. Let the parents be responsible for their minor children's children. Maybe then they would insist on abstinence.

    My parents would have kicked my @ss if I had gotten pregnant in high school - so I remained a virgin even though I was in a relationship for four years. No sex between us = no possibility of getting pregnant. That's exactly why we didn't go there.

    Yes. I think there'd be more impoverished children.
