Cheerleading Questions!?

I want to make the middle school cheerleading team. I've never done cheerleading before but I've done dance for 9 years and I'm super flexible. (I can do splits and high kicks and stuff like that) I can do a cartwheel but nothing else. What else will they ask me to do at a middle school cheer squad tryout? I will be up against other girls who have done cheerleading before. The tryout is in like June but I want to be prepared, do you think I'll make it?

Update:

I do/done tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, and lyrical

Do I need to learn like handsprings and handstands etc.?

Update 2:

I can do heelstretch also and I'm trying to do a scorpian. I can kinda-ish do a handstand sloppily for about 2 seconds

    Make sure you stretch out a lot and also try to do more tumbling they will love that if you can do a cartwheel then learn a round off then front handspring then back handspring then tuck but you might need help on that stuff but first just try a round off if you can do that then try a 1 handed cartwheel and also when you tryout make sure your really loud and Stifff that will help you a lot.and when your screaming the cheer dont sing it. Make sure your confortable in front of the judges at the tryouts too! good luck!!

    well I am a middle school cheerleader, and I didn't have to know anything likethat. They taught me a dance and cheer and then I had to perform them infront of judges.. It all varies though, some schools may requires certain stunts and jumps. We also had to do our best jump for the judges. But all in all I think you'll do good If you've done all those types of dance. Just remember to be sharp, pop It, and most important FACIAL EXPRESSIONS!!! Good luck(;

    The most important thing of ALL is your spirit and your smile. Facial expressions is KEY and if you don't have it you may not make it.

    -Flexibility (splits, high kicks, etc.)

    -Gymnastics (cartwheel, round-off, front/back-handspring, etc.)

    -Loudness!!! :)

    -Jumps (toe-touch, star, herkie, etc.)

    -Good attitude!

    Some cheer squads actually look for good grades, so make sure your grades are up to par!
