A person to ask question at first must bring reason for one,s claim.Instinct is not what separates us from animals,but reason!?secondly how does one know some body believes in God or not?!Though it,s private and personal matter of one,s privacy!qestion is also paradox by itself!thanks.

God can mean anything you want. For some, God symbolizes and ideal to strive for, for example. So when somebody says they believe in God, usually they're telling the truth, though said persons idea of God may be radically different from yours.
