manual placenta delivery ....?
i had a manual placenta delivery under wpidural and was discharged yesterday as being fine. but i had my next day check where a community midwife comes and visits and she told me i should be bleeding bright red blood to avoid infection nd even clots. but i wasnt told this at the hospital and im only bleeding pinkish mucusy blood so im worried is she right or is she wrong?

No, what you're bleeding is fine and is more common after manual delivery of the placenta, where they will also remove more of the clots and other remaining tissue at the same time.

After they say "looking forward to spontaneous delivery" they don't imply that it's delivered vaginally, they mean they wait until the placenta naturally separates from the uterus, then remove it through the incision in the uterus. Handbook extraction method the medical professional will physically detach the placenta from the wall of the uterus with his hand before casting off it.

I did that with my 3rd delivery, not much lochia at all. Not common but it happens - the pink lochia without blood, just means your uterus closed up very nicely - if your placenta was not out she'd notice the boggy uterus.
