How many of you aware that with modern tyres and labeling those who have the worst tyres are putting everyone-?

Including themselves in great danger; If the car in front has the better stopping distance then is he in danger if he brakes hard and the bloke behide with shite tyres can't stop and hits him...BOTH CARS ARE SURELY IN DANGER?

Do you think it is better to Leave more stopping distance until government has a rethink and forces cheap tyres off the road at MOT time... Would This give an interim period where safe tyres could later prevail.... or do you consider that if all tyres were equal we would return to the status quo?

I know what you are getting at but I want my car too be able too stop quickly! I don't want too have the horror of running a child over or driving into the back of someone and killing them on my conscious, I pay an extortionate amount for my tyres because they are the only part of the car that actually touches the road there more important than anything else on the car and people who have the attitude of "I'll just put a cheap one on for 10 quid" annoy me more than any other type of motorist say what you want about the likes of boy racers but at least the majority know the importance of tyres.

I personally think tyres should have too be a certain quality like they are in European countries such as Germany before they are allowed on a car/bike I think tyres should have to have more tread on them than the current UK legal requirements and I think all tyres should have too meet a much shorter stopping distance on any vicar before they can go on sale
