Hello my friend. I took your earlier advice of repeatedly punching myself in the crotch and now am typing this with a severely broken hand. I also tried using an axe but the blade broke off on the first chop.

In my opinion the top five most ducked are:

    1. Sam Langford: Fighters either drew the colour line or else made Langford agree to carry them.

    2. Charley Burley: He is said to have been ducked by Sugar Ray Robinson and Jake LaMotta. I don't know if they really did duck him but the fact that people would even say this about the likes of LaMotta and Robinson prove what a great and avoided fighter he was.

    3. Jack Johnson: He chased Tommy Burns literally thousands of miles, from America to England, Ireland and finally to Australia before Burns signed to fight him.

    4. Marvin Hagler: Fought the best for years before getting a title shot.

    5. Jake LaMotta: LaMotta was the number one middleweight contender from 1942/1943 but didn't fight for the title until 1949. This was partly due to him not complying with the Mob but also that many of the top fighters weren't keen to fight him.

Sam Langford and Charley Burley has to be on every ones list and Paul Williams was avoided like the plague until Sergio Martinez who also was avoided, thats why they fought each other& I can't leave out Kid Chocolate&Ronald Winkey Wright they didn't have people lining up to fight them

*Gene Tunney Fought Harry Greb 4 times winning 3, Greb may of been avoided by one time sparring partner Jack Dempsey though

Boxing scores are in step with international scores and it does not have something to do with nationality. in case you verify out Ring magazine scores or any of the alphabet business enterprise scores, they have boxers from each usa representative. So there is no longer an American score, Mexican score, eu score, and so on. scores are in step with boxers from international.
