Girls, how do I approach this situation/do I ask her out?
So at my school, I'm a broadcast major, and every Monday I chat with this girl who's on the Monday news staff. This really cute and sweet girl, but that's obvious.
Anyways, I met her a few weeks ago at a party I hosted and hit it off with her pretty well that particular night. I didn't put too much stock into it. Today, I saw her at the radio station we're a part of, and almost immediately she and I began to chat again. We've been kind of flirty and what not, but again, I didn't put too much stock in it.
Anyways, they had a bunch of food in the newsroom today and she let me partake. Eventually I had a meeting in one of the rooms of the station. I'm back there sitting in on it, when all of a sudden I look in the hallway and she's out there waving... I'm at an angle where i can barely see out the door window. I assume she's waving elsewhere.
The meeting ends, I exit, and she's the first one I see. I say hey and ask her how the news went, she says "Good good." Then she says "so why didn't you wave at me?!" and gives me a little joking frown-face. And I'm like, "WHAT?! You were waving to me?!" and she goes "Well, yeah" and smiled. I then laughed and explained to her, "You have to understand, I can barely see out there, and for all i know, you could be waving down the hall" with a smirk.
And she gave me a little grief for that too, all in playfulness. I then finally said, "Ok McKenzie, from now on I'll operate on the assumption that every wave I see from you is directed at me, and I'll wave back, even if it wasn't me you waved to" and she laughed at that aspect.
Sorry to be wordy... but anyways, I don't have this girl's number yet, so I'm thinking that would be the next step. But I'm wondering, would asking her out to a lunch or dinner-movie sorta date seem too forward? HONEST OPINIONS, PLEASE!!!!

You guys seem like you both seem interest in each other but not trying to come onto strong! What you could do is next time you say hello to her, say you seem pretty fun we should hang out sometime and whatever she says from there you could say " we should give each other our contacts " MAKE sure you imply " we " so you have her number and she has yours ( save less the complications ) she seems like she wouldn't mind going out with you. I say ask for lunch or coffee. dinner & movie seems to much as a date thingy & you shouldn't get that far YET save that for second date or another time. For right now get to know her better, you seem good so far, keep making her laugh and even compliment her ;) good luck!
By any chance could you read on my last question?!!, I'm confused if I should confront a guy that I like him & need a guys opinion since the fact your in the beginning with this girl it'll be helpful and you'll understand where I'm coming from, I'm getting mix signals!

Before you make any assumptions you should get her really comfortable around and make her laugh often and joke around (that way if you do end up together you'll have a great relationship) make sure she is single. Casually bring up your plans but not anywhere she would expect that a guy hitting on a girl would like so like steer clear of movies and dinner. Lunch would seem good or just regular places you and a friend would go. Ease her into the relationship so that she feels she has known You forever

Get her number and ask her out at the same time :D She obviously likes you so even if it is too forward, she probably won't even care. She'll just be happy about it.

It sounds like a mutual attraction. Asking her to coffee or maybe lunch would be a good start. I wish you the very best! :)
