Bah, forget that. Whatever type of artist he is, get him some equipment. Get him some brushes and paints is he is an artist, buy him some (I'm assuming guitar for music) pics and strings if music.

Cheap little canvases for his art if he likes art, umm oil pastles are good as well. If he dosent want art stuff id say a personalised t shirt. Whatever he likes, ask him ;-) hope i helped

If he has a Nintendo DS or a PSP get him that doodle game for it I hear its cool:) you said he likes to draw!
