Rumor = “Jerry Sloan to L.A. by December 1,”... thoughts.???.?
Just received this link by mail, and I think it's really interesting, because this maybe the real purpose behind all these miserable losses....

“Jerry Sloan to L.A. by December 1,” one league source predicted. “Nash and Howard are the new Stockton and Malone. He wants a ring, not to mention the money. He didn’t seriously consider Orlando, Charlotte or Portland [openings] over the summer because he knew Los Angeles would open up.”
So... thoughts.???
BQ = who would be a better coach for these Lakers ... Jerry Sloan or Mike D'antoni.??

To tell you the truth I think Jerry Sloan is the best candidate to coach this Lakers.
1. He is the master of the pick and roll.
2. He's a no non-sense guy he preaches good defense.
3. He loves point guards pushing the ball, which is Steve Nash's strength.
Although Kobe might butt heads with Sloan's coaching at times (especially him not getting the ball as frequently in Jerry's system which is more of movement filled) I think it's better for the team as a whole. I think with the current players they'd be at ease playing the pick an roll more than learning a troublesome offensive scheme like the Princeton at his stage of their career (Kobe, Nash and Jamison is almost at the tail-end whether you like to admit it or not).
BQ: D' Antoni? He had a great team in Phoenix but without defense they were always given the boot but better defensive teams like the Spurs and the Mavs, so no.
Hope this helps.

I hope to GOD this happens and soon like tomorrow.
BQ: Jerry Sloan he's a solid coach. You seen D'antoni in the knicks, they were absolutely horrible on defense. jerry Sloan is solid around all areas. I'd take Jerry Sloan or even Nate Micmillan any day of the week.

Sloan is definitely better than D'antoni.
However, I don't think the Lakers are going to pull the plug on Mike Brown. He came in just last year during a shortened season. Realistically, I don't see him getting fired anytime soon. If the Lakers continue to play horribly 2 months into the season, then yeah. But not RIGHT NOW.

YES JERRY SLOAN MIGHT COME IM SO HAPPY
BQ: D'Antoni would be nice since he had success with Nash, but Sloan is a far better coach.

Combined feelings. Glad that they are attempting to support the challenge (even as rather of a "purist" I suppose that the proposal of saying that umpire error is "part of the game" is ridiculous if which you can repair it) but not actual delighted with the method they're going to use. I might decide upon that they as a substitute easily add a fifth umpire to every crew and have them sincerely within the ballpark. And allow them to decide if a play will have to be reviewed. I hate the concept of challenges - for one I hate to look the number of stories confined by any means. I also would query if it perhaps viable for a supervisor to control the task method. For example - residence group has a ten run lead in the high of the fifth and it looks like a storm is coming. Might be the traveling supervisor uses his appeals in an try to gradual down the sport in hopes that the rain would come earlier than the game was reputable? Or would a manager appeal plays to give a reliever extra time to warm up? And what if an ump makes a relatively bad call as soon as the appeals are used? Do you simply let it slide or do you truly need to be certain the calls are right.

Yea I heard about this during the day(saw it on team stream)
Jerry Sloan is a great coach and is of course better than Mike Brown. But I don't see this happening I know Brown hasn't had a good start but last year a shortened season/Horrible bench/No training camp and still go 41-25 I say that's good enough. And this year Injuries/Chemistry/Bench, it is a horrible start to the season but you can't blame it all on him he can draw up the game plan but it's up to the players to execute. One things for sure Princeton offense HAS TO GO!
BQ:You know offense hasn't been so bad tis year they've been sloppy in defense Offensive rebounds/Transition/Turnovers leading to easy buckets

U got better shot with sloan, if u bring in d'antoni the lakers are screwed on D

Sloan is better by a little but still is not the right 'solution'. Jerry Sloan never won a NBA championship with the Jazz and Mike Brown has no NBA championships. Not much improvement.

NOT True.. Sloan gave up because of D-Will and it will be the same issue with Kobe and Dwight
