  • Are you happy or sad/angry that iTunes gave you a free U2 album?

Seen a lot of mixed emotions.

Some people love it, but some people are angry that U2 is now in their cloud. What do you think? Assuming you use iTunes.

  • What is your personal list of albums a true rock fan must have?

And it's kind of like if they don't have one of those albums (or maybe don't like that album), you think to yourself "sheesh this person is really missing out on great rock..."

You can list as many as you want. Whether it's one or fifty, doesn't matter.

  • Who would be on your Mt Rushmore of these subgenres?

Pick 4 people per subgenre for your hypothetical Mt Rushmore's:

    Classic Rock

    Heavy Metal

    Grunge/Alternative

    Punk (or Punk Rock)

    Nu-Metal

Not a subgenre, but Modern Rock (rock bands that originated or enjoyed most of their success in the 21st century)

  • What's the most disappointing album you've heard?

Like what's an album that maybe you thought was going to be great but you were disappointed how bad or overhyped it was?

  • Did the Ramones actually invent punk music?

Or did they invent it the same way Nirvana invented grunge?

I've heard people say Ramones invented it, but I've also heard people say they just hopped on the bandwagon and popularized it. Which is true?

  • How seriously do you take the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

Seems like a lot of people don't, do you?

  • Radiohead's "Creep" vs Stone Temple Pilots' "Creep"?

I know these songs have nothing to do with each other except they share the same name. I love both songs, which do you like better?

  • Nirvana vs Pearl Jam vs Alice in Chains vs Stone Temple Pilots?

Rank them by you personal preference.

BQ: Kurt Cobain vs Eddie Vedder vs Layne Staley vs Scott Weiland? (The lead singers, please rank in terms of who you thought was the most talented)

BQ2: has anyone else noticed STP is kind of unknown to people? Like a bunch of people I know don't know "what that is"... Why is that? They're a pretty good band.

  • How often do you still buy actual CDs?

I like having the actual CD album as opposed to it being digital, but problem is there aren't really a lot of cd stores and places like Walmart and target (that sells CDs) have a very hit and miss selection. Although, the prices at those stores are cheaper than the prices to iTunes most of the time, believe it or not. So, when you want to but an album, do you just do it digitally (more convenient) or do you go and buy the hard copy (better priced)? Or do you just pirate it?

I end up usually having to buy it digitally, since a lot of older albums I want aren't in stock or even in the selection. Some are, most aren't.

And if I do buy it digitally I can burn it to a cd, but importing a hard copy cd to iTunes is much easier than having to burn the cd, print out cd cover, cut it out, all that. What do you think?

  • How much longer would Nirvana have been around if Kurt Cobain hadn't died?

His suicide/death (whatever you believe) definitely cut the band's life short. How many more albums do you think they would've made and do you think they'd still be regarded as highly as they are today?

BQ: how many actual studio albums did Nirvana release? I know theres Nevermind, Incesticide, but what were the others? (Not live ones)

    Thanks for all answers.

  • If Green Day were to call it quits, what songs would be on their "greatest hits" album?

If Green Day decided to end it today and release a Greatest Hits album (including any songs from their career), what songs would be included?

BQ: what if it were only songs after "International Superhits!"?

Thank you in advance for the answers. (And please remember, it can't be all Dookie and American Idiot lol)
