How much longer would Nirvana have been around if Kurt Cobain hadn't died?

His suicide/death (whatever you believe) definitely cut the band's life short. How many more albums do you think they would've made and do you think they'd still be regarded as highly as they are today?

BQ: how many actual studio albums did Nirvana release? I know theres Nevermind, Incesticide, but what were the others? (Not live ones)

Thanks for all answers.

I think Kurt wanted a break from touring and was getting sick of Nirvana, as was evident in the 'suicide note' he wrote. He probably would've taken some time away from the group, maybe they would've reformed once things had quietened down for them. He might've tried some solo work. But grunge didn't seem to last much longer after Kurt died. It was destined to burn itself out - once an 'underground' movement becomes mainstream, it's pretty much doomed and loses its edge. Kurt cared about his work and took it fairly seriously, so I don't think he would've been happy with that i.e. recording songs just to keep his label happy.

They would have probably made 2-3 more albums and then broke up, Kurt probably would have guest vocals in some Hole and Foo Fighters songs, I think Foo Fighters would have still happened because the band was on a downward spiral anyways... but I don't think Foo Fighters would have happened until like 2000 therefore we wouldn't have The Colour and The Shape and the band wouldn't be nearly as popular, Kurt would have maybe done a solo project or joined a noise rock band, he wanted to get more experimental, he hated Nevermind because of it's easy accessibility, he said it was like a Motley Crue album.
