They're well and alive here in the southern states.. Need to get out of here before they start making it impossible for me to vote.

No, it means the republicans need to start paying more attention to the tea party and libertarians. Romney got fewer votes than McCain and Bush in 04. Reagan almost had as many votes 30 years ago. They ignored the true conservatives and paid the price.
"Curbstomping" is probably a stretch. The difference in the election was 150,000 votes which is about .1% of the vote. It was one of the closest elections in history.

No the T party has gone into the local political system and is working to put in more conservative politicians. The T party do not pay attention to celebrities of any kind.
