there is no theory....no evidence...no data......there IS no such "world doom prophecy" by the Mayans...the December 21,2012 date for "the end of the world" has not one THING to do with any end but the end of a specific long count on the calender they had made. Nothing was every said about the end of the world...If you had a calender that used monstrously huge blocks of time...you'd design it for a period of time one could utilize...their "long counts" were indeed so long, they often did not make another calender to pick up where the old one left off. There'd be no point to it at all.

The Mayan Prophecies suggest we are approaching a new age i.e. the end of the last one on the 21st December 2012 and the start of a new one. The Mayans studied the stars and planets and from previous calculations they seemed to be very accurate.

I expect on the 21st December 2012 that there could be some gravity type pull that could cause weather changes on earth. We shall see.

We've all been here before, there have been other predictions proved wrong, for example Mother Shipton predicted 1991, Nostradamus predicted July 1999 [some translations say September, but both months came and went and we're still here].. What about all the Millennium prophecies? Better look in the Gospel which state that the date and time are known to God alone.

It's a bit of a misnomer to call the end of a calender system a 'prophesy'. Let alone a doomsday prophesy
