Is the Christian Bible a human rights book or a property rights book?

It is interesting to note that the laws given to the Israelites (specifically the 10 commandments) seem to be aimed at property owners and people who have wives (i.e. men).

But let it not be said that this is a man-made religion from antiquity! (Note: I can't say that while keeping a straight face.)

It is so amazing that atheists seem to think that the bible consists only of the laws that applied to the Hebrews under the Covenant -- (That constitutes only 15% of the bible and applied only to the Hebrews). The Old Testament provides historical perspective but the Christian Bible is the New Testament which says quite clearly in Christ there is neither Greek nor Jew, bond nor free, male nor female but Christ is all and in all. In other words, everybody under Christ has equal standing... It is sad and disappointing that Religions try to hold on to the Old Ways - but in Christ's kingdom, and in the minds of true Christians everybody is equal!

Yes a lot of religious people do. Of course Christ did not come to replace one form of temple worship with another form of temple worship or to create a new religion. If you got caught up with a religion that is your loss! Christ and religion have always been contrary one to the other, you can follow Christ, or you can follow religion but if you are intellectually honest you recognize you cannot do both at the same time!

Property rights are human rights. Only humans can own and control property. The foundation of individual rights is the right to own and control property. To the extent that property rights are controlled or restricted by others, individual freedom is lost. The only justification for the restriction of individual property rights is to protect the individual property rights of others. That is the only justification for governmental restriction of individual property rights. Once a people allow their government to start restricting individual property rights for other reasons (fairness, equality, the general welfare, etc.) the government has become corrupt, and that corruption will spread through out the society until the people lose both their property and political freedom. This is what the Bible teaches both directly and indirectly.

Seeing the multiple literary styles of the Bible incorrectly leads to gross misinterpretation. It is bad enough when a Christian relies on a private interpretation. A wiccan should at least consult a modern literary criticism of the Christian scriptures before presuming that they can speak on it with any authority. Scholars outside Christianity appreciate the complexity of it so you need not only read "propaganda."

If we hate it's because we hate our selves, this can be due to being subdued and subverted by the evils of this world - lies, family and societal breakdown, and even buying into subjective and empirical philosophies.

I'm sorry but your wrong. Many men take things in THE WORD OF GOD out of context! Take another look for yourself. JESUS was also an Rabi.This Jewish tradition about Rabi' being forbidden to speak directly to women was brought down by JESUS HIMSELF. Read in THE BIBLE about the many times he spoke freely with women. Read about how in HIS WISDOM HE SAVED AN WOMEN CAUGHT IN THE VERY ACT OF ADULTERY! Many false doctrines are out there concerning women. Does THE BIBLE not say if a man find a wife he has been given an great gift from THE LORD.Now I teach on the essence of GOD. Read this in Genesis. GOD SAID LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE AFTER OUR LIKENESS. Then notice all the plural descriptions. Male and Female created HE then and blessed them and called their name Adam.
