I usually hide my cuts by wearing jackets. If he asks, even if it's hot where you live, tell him you're feeling cold and that maybe you're getting a little bit sick. If you cut on your legs, wear longer pants to cover it. Sometimes coving it with clothing can be painful, but if you want to hide it that badly you'll have to deal with it. Where exactly did you cut, anyway?

But I honestly suggest you tell him. If the same thing had happened to your boyfriend, wouldn't YOU want to know? I don't think he'll get angry or anything, I assume he'd just be worried. Tell him about it, tell him what happened. Even if it hurts. Trust me, it will make you feel better. You might just feel even worse from having to hide it- especially if it's a deep cut like you said, because you'll need to hide it for a while.

    Good luck! <3

First off, get some medical attention if it's required. Make sure it's disinfected and whatnot.

My impression is that it is best for you to just be honest with your boyfriend. How do you ever expect to have a long lasting relationship with someone if you are hiding things from them? Let them be a part of the solution or at least someone in your support group.

Where is the cut? And in order to relapse dont you have to be on drugs? Not a sharp blade in your hand?

this is a mental HEALTH site, not how to harm myself or cover it up, site.

There are support groups for self injury at dailystrength.org and people to talk to there.
