Generally, the FBI is only allowed to work on U.S. soil while the CIA is only allowed to work off U.S. soil. A potential security breach of the General's email fell under FBI jurisdiction because of the location.

The FBI didn't have to blow the whistle so loudly but the FBI has a beef with the CIA for stalling the FBI's effort to investigate what happened in Benghazi, Libya, an overseas investigation for which the FBI got a special authorization (which it got in part because the CIA was in charge of what happened there and you don't want an agency investigating itself).

2. The one of the main Missions of the FBI is Counter-intel. The CIA is Foreign Intel. Thus, the FBI is in the Spy catching business.

3. Hillary Clinton Is leaving the Administration entirely. Was not that great in her current job & has no Intel background at all.

The FBI and CIA have always been at each other's throats. FBI investigates anything in-country and that counts security leaks like to Petraeus' mistress. She had access to the CIA's top secret files. NOT GOOD. There's no way for him to do his job with his clearance yanked, the director can't be quarantined. This is all really unfortunate.
