Is it safe to fly with Pnemonia?

I was diagnosed with Pnemonia yesterday and started on antibiotics yesterday. I am supposed to fly from philadelphia to zurich this evening? Is that okay to do with Pnemonia?

No, it is not safe for you or for the other passengers you might infect. Your condition could become much worse during the flight, because you will not be able to cope with the way cabin air pressure is lowered (equivalent 2000 feet above sea level). If the plane is forced to divert because you have fallen ill, the airline will discover that you boarded while knowing that you are ill, and the airline will sue you for the cost of the diversion (tens of thousands of dollars).

    Don't do it.

i went down with it in australia, i was so ill. i did not eat or drink on the flight home, i knew i was ill, but i had no idea what it was until i got home to my local hospital in romford essex uk, if you feel really bad delay your flight, if you are not too bad take a chance, i would and also at the time, i just wanted to get home to my bed, as i walked in to my home, i derobed, and fell in to bed, luckily my wife and 2 other relations carried my luggage, you only live once, make the most of it.

Source(s): all together i have had pnemonia 3 times, but i have been ill and in hospital better places than australia, eg. mombasa in kenya.

@ I agree with the other post - you could infect others.
