Why are the majority of college students for Obama?
I am a college student. If you are in college you most likely want to be a successful individual. Under Obama you cant really be successful because that extra money you make will be going to someone elses pocket instead of your own. Or do we college students not pay attention to this and vote for him because hes hip?

Young people are more likely to be for gay rights, drug legalization, and welfare.
They know nothing of autonomy, working for a living on your own, nor do they know about morality and family values.

The main concern college students have is finding a job when they get out of college. Their second main concern is paying off their student loans. The average starting salaries of college students is not high enough for taxes to be a major concern. Once one has a job, and debts are paid off, then they can start worrying about buying a house, and making other investments which taxes diminish. All taxes do is hamper one's rate of growth. Debt being decline, not growth, takes precedence. If something has merit, taxes ought to pay for it. Students tend to be in favor of tax dollars funding their education, even if it means paying a little extra in taxes once they land their dream job.
Something else to keep in mind is that college students, and recent college graduates tend to be in the renters class. Although it is in the interest of property owners to have lower taxes, it is in the interest of renters to have higher taxes, to diminish the need to rent. Every public service diminishes the need to rent.
Lastly, consider that college students consume less than workers. Therefore, the idea of being free to spend one's money means little to college students, as they have little to spend.

Because Obama is a symbol of a new proposal, and new proposals are all that the young people want. A new proposal about the public health, the external policies, the rules for imigration! Obama thinks that the capitalist model from the single XX is over and needs to be reviewed. It's coming a new age for America: an age of the social capitalism, like in Europe, that estimulates the economy, but takes care of the poorest people, and estimulates them to grow up.

Romney wouldn't of let you get in college with all the student funds he was talking about cutting, that's why Obama got the college vote.

Most college students actually bother to fact check politicians, unlike you, who just believes everything fox tells you. Not only was romney promising to eliminate federal pell grants, he was also promising to make middle class college students pay 1 trillion dollars more for tax cuts to wealthy people, despite the ample evidence that this debunked economic plan doesn't work and never has. Moreover, Romney's massive spending would balloon the debt and deficit.

Indoctrination by your professors and thinking that the world is a utopia. It is common at your age but with life experience and paying taxes your views change.

Please pay more attention while you are in school. If this is what you are coming away with...maybe consider staying a few extra years longer than what is required.
